Privacy Policy

SafeRoom is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. We don't collect it, store it remotely, or share it.

Effective date: 1 April 2026  ·  Last updated: 1 April 2026

Short version: SafeRoom collects no personal data. Everything the app does — scanning, results, reports — happens entirely on your device. Nothing is transmitted to any server.

1. Who we are

SafeRoom is developed and operated by Monsaif Ben Aicha ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to the SafeRoom iOS and iPadOS application ("App") and the SafeRoom website at saferoom.online ("Site").

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at office@thecreativeoneagency.com.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. SafeRoom does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not transmit any data from your device to our servers or any third-party servers.

Specifically, SafeRoom does not collect:

3. How the app works — on-device only

SafeRoom performs Wi-Fi network discovery (via Bonjour/mDNS), Bluetooth Low Energy scanning (via CoreBluetooth), and guided manual room inspections. All of this processing happens locally on your iPhone or iPad.

Scan results, device lists, and reports are stored in encrypted local storage (UserDefaults and the iOS data protection file system) on your device. You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app.

We have no servers. There is no back end. SafeRoom cannot access your scan data because it never reaches us.

4. Permissions the app requests

SafeRoom requests the following device permissions, used solely to perform local scans:

All permission requests include a clear explanation of why they are needed. You can revoke any permission at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security.

5. Background monitoring

If you enable background monitoring, SafeRoom uses iOS Background App Refresh (BGAppRefreshTask) to periodically re-scan your local network and notify you of changes. This task runs on-device only. No data is transmitted as part of this process.

6. Subscriptions and payments

SafeRoom offers auto-renewing subscriptions processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle payment information directly. Apple's privacy policy governs their collection and use of payment data. For full subscription terms, see our Terms of Use.

7. Website analytics

The SafeRoom website (saferoom.online) does not currently use any third-party analytics, tracking cookies, or advertising scripts. If this changes, this policy will be updated in advance.

8. Third-party services

SafeRoom does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services. The only third-party system used is Apple's StoreKit framework for in-app subscription processing.

9. Children's privacy

SafeRoom is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we collect no data from any user, this applies equally to all age groups.

10. Data retention and deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you control it entirely. To delete all SafeRoom data, simply delete the app from your iPhone or iPad. This removes all locally stored scan results, reports, and settings.

11. Security

All scan data stored by SafeRoom is protected by iOS data protection (AES-256 encryption at rest). Because data never leaves your device, it is not exposed to network-based threats.

12. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
